Considering others more than ourselves

Considering others more than ourselves

Devotion open bible

Romans 12:10 (NIV) 10  Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.

1 Corinthians 10:24 (TLB) 24  Don’t think only of yourself. Try to think of the other fellow, too, and what is best for him.

Philippians 2:2-4 (NIV) Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. 3  Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4  Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

James 2:8 (TLB)   Yes indeed, it is good when you truly obey our Lord’s command, "You must love and help your neighbors just as much as you love and take care of yourself."

The least-used words by an unselfish person are I, me, my, and mine.      Charles R. Swindoll (1934-) Draper's Book of Quotations for the Christian World.
