God’s “Everyday-Miracles”

Miracles

John 2:11 (NLT)  This miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was the first time Jesus revealed his glory. And his disciples believed in him.

Psalm 78:10-12 (NLT) 10  They did not keep God’s covenant and refused to live by his instructions. 11  They forgot what he had done— the great wonders he had shown them, 12  the miracles he did for their ancestors on the plain of Zoan in the land of Egypt.

Isaiah 29:14 (NET1)  Therefore I will again do an amazing thing for these people — an absolutely extraordinary deed. Wise men will have nothing to say, the sages will have no explanations.”

Psalm 105:5 (NET1) Recall the miraculous deeds he performed, his mighty acts and the judgments he decreed.

Jeremiah 32:20 (NET1) You did miracles and amazing deeds in the land of Egypt which have had lasting effect. By this means you gained both in Israel and among humankind a renown that lasts to this day.

God's wonderful works which happen daily are lightly esteemed, not because they are of no import but because they happen so constantly and without interruption. Man is used to the miracle that God rules the world and upholds all creation, and because things daily run their appointed course, it seems insignificant, and no man thinks it worth his while to meditate upon it and to regard it as God's wonderful work, and yet it is a greater wonder than that Christ fed five thousand men with five loaves and made wine from water.  Martin Luther in Day by Day We Magnify Thee.
