Psalm 50:14-15 (NET1) 14  Present to God a thank-offering! Repay your vows to the sovereign One! 15  Pray to me when you are in trouble! I will deliver you, and you will honor me!”

Psalm 102:17 (NIV) He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.

Psalm 145:18-19 (NIV) 18  The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. 19  He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.

Proverbs 15:29 (NIV) The LORD is far from the wicked but he hears the prayer of the righteous.

Isaiah 65:24 (NIV) Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.

Jeremiah 29:12 (NIV) Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

Matthew 6:6-8 (NIV) 6  But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7  And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8  Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Prayer is the most important thing in my life. If I should neglect prayer for a single day, I should lose a great deal of the fire of faith. —Martin Luther [Prayer 101]
