Being Honest in All our Dealings

Micah 6:11-13 (NIV) 11  Shall I acquit a man with dishonest scales, with a bag of false weights? 12  Her rich men are violent; her people are liars and their tongues speak deceitfully. 13  Therefore, I have begun to destroy you, to ruin you because of your sins.

Leviticus 19:35-37 (TEV) 35  "Do not cheat anyone by using false measures of length, weight, or quantity. 36  Use honest scales, honest weights, and honest measures. I am the LORD your God, and I brought you out of Egypt. 37  Obey all my laws and commands. I am the LORD."

Proverbs 11:1 (TEV) The LORD hates people who use dishonest scales. He is happy with honest weights.

Proverbs 16:8 (HCSB) Better a little with righteousness than great income with injustice.

"To be honest as this world goes, is to be one man picked out of a thousand."   William Shakespeare (1564-1616)
