THANK THE LORD BECAUSE HE IS GOOD

Psalm 107:1-2 (TLB) Say thank you to the Lord for being so good, for always being so loving and kind. 2  Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has saved you from your enemies.

BE THANKFUL FOR ANSWERS TO PRAYER

Psalm 138:1-5 (TLB) 1  Lord, with all my heart I thank you. I will sing your praises before the armies of angels. 2  I face your Temple as I worship, giving thanks to you for all your loving-kindness and your faithfulness, for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name. 3  When I pray, you answer me and encourage me by giving me the strength I need. 4  Every king in all the earth shall give you thanks, O Lord, for all of them shall hear your voice. 5  Yes, they shall sing about Jehovah’s glorious ways, for his glory is very great.

OUR PRAYERS SHOULD INCLUDE WORDS OF THANKFULNESS

Philippians 4:6 (TLB)  Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers.

OUR LIFE SHOULD BE CHARACTERIZED BY THANKFULNESS TO GOD

Colossians 3:15 (TLB)  Let the peace of heart that comes from Christ be always present in your hearts and lives, for this is your responsibility and privilege as members of his body. And always be thankful.

WE ARE CALLED TO GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (TLB) 16  Always be joyful. 17  Always keep on praying. 18  No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
