Cleaning those unclean lips

Weeping Jesus

Unclean language separates us from God:

Isaiah 6:5 (ESV)  And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!”

Foul language is not fitting for a Christian:

Ephesians 5:4 (NLT)  Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God.

Our speech reflects our relationship with God:

Colossians 4:6 (NLT) 6  Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.

Our speech should be an example to others:

1 Timothy 4:12 (NLT) 12  Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
