Decisions, decisions

Devotions

PRAY BEFORE MAKING DECISIONS: Nehemiah 1:4-6 (NLT) 4  When I heard this, I sat down and wept. In fact, for days I mourned, fasted, and prayed to the God of heaven. 5  Then I said, “O LORD, God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps his covenant of unfailing love with those who love him and obey his commands, 6  listen to my prayer!

DECIDE TO DO THINGS THAT HONOR GOD: Job 1:8 (NLT)  Then the LORD asked Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is blameless—a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil.”

GOD’S WORD HELPS US MAKE DECISIONS: Psalm 119:105 (NLT)  Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

GET GOOD ADVICE BEFORE MAKING DECISIONS: Proverbs 18:15 (NLT) Intelligent people are always ready to learn. Their ears are open for knowledge.

ASK GOD FOR WISDOM BEFORE MAKING DECISIONS: James 1:5-6 (NLT) 5  If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6  But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.
