Practice hospitality

1 Peter 4:9 (AMP)  Practice hospitality to one another (those of the household of faith). [Be hospitable, be a lover of strangers, with brotherly affection for the unknown guests, the foreigners, the poor, and all others who come your way who are of Christ's body.] And [in each instance] do it ungrudgingly (cordially and graciously, without complaining but as representing Him).

James 2:15-16 (AMP) 15  If a brother or sister is poorly clad and lacks food for each day, 16  And one of you says to him, Good-bye! Keep [yourself] warm and well fed, without giving him the necessities for the body, what good does that do?

Hebrews 13:2 (TLB)  Don’t forget to be kind to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!

Hospitality is a test for godliness because those who are selfish do not like strangers (especially needy ones) to intrude upon their private lives. They prefer their own friends who share their life-style. Only the humble have the necessary resources to give of themselves to those who could never give of themselves in return. Erwin W. Lutzer (1941- )

Those who practice hospitality entertain God himself. (Anonymous) Draper's Book of Quotations for the Christian World
