Sharing with Jesus

1 Thessalonians 2:2 (NIV) We had previously suffered and been insulted in Philippi, as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in spite of strong opposition.

Jesus has many who love his heavenly kingdom, but few who bear his cross. Many want consolation, but few desire adversity. Many are eager to share Jesus' table, but few will join him in fasting. -- Thomas à Kempis (c. 1380-1471)
