1 Peter 2:11 (NLT2) Dear friends, I warn you as “temporary residents and foreigners” to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls.
It is interesting that we, as Christians, are actually "temporary residents and foreigners" of this world. The Bible is our "green card" that marks us off from those who are strictly "of this world." Being in the former group, the latter one deems us to be "illegal aliens." May we continue to faithfully maintain our "alien" status--be in the world, but not of the world. -- Pastor Darvin
