The Meek

Weeping Jesus

Psalm 147:6 (NIV) The LORD sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground.

Proverbs 15:1 (NIV) A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Lamentations 3:28-30 (NIV) Let him sit alone in silence, for the LORD has laid it on him. 29  Let him bury his face in the dust-- there may yet be hope. 30  Let him offer his cheek to one who would strike him, and let him be filled with disgrace.

Matthew 5:5 (NKJV) Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.

Meek—what does it mean? The answer lies in the word itself:

M—Mighty,

E—Emotionally stable,

E—Educable,

K—Kind.
