A Prayer for the New Year

Psalm 33:12 (NIV) Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance.

Abraham Lincoln was the first President to use the phrase, "This nation under God." It inspired President Eisenhower, in 1954, to add the words "one nation under God" to the Pledge of Allegiance. —"The Untold Story of Christianity & The Civil War," Christian History.

This New Year's Eve, pray that our people and our leaders will begin to come back to God and experience the love, joy, peace and harmony that only comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
