1 Kings 11:4 (NIV) As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father had been.

Leviticus 18:3-5 (NIV) 3  You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. 4  You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the LORD your God. 5  Keep my decrees and laws, for the man who obeys them will live by them. I am the LORD.

Matthew 6:24 (NIV) "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”
