Be Patient and Stand Firm

Ecclesiastes 7:8 (NIV) The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride.

Luke 21:19 (NIV) By standing firm you will gain life.

Hebrews 10:36 (NIV) You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

James 5:7 (NIV) Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains.

As a rule, prayer is answered and funds come in, but if we are kept waiting, the spiritual blessing that is the outcome is far more precious than exemption from the trial. —J. Hudson Taylor (1832-1905)
