Praying in the Temple

1 Corinthians 3:16 (TEV) Surely you know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you!

Isaiah 27:13 (ESV) And in that day a great trumpet will be blown, and those who were lost in the land of Assyria and those who were driven out to the land of Egypt will come and worship the LORD on the holy mountain at Jerusalem.

2 Corinthians 6:16 (TEV) How can God's temple come to terms with pagan idols? For we are the temple of the living God! As God himself has said, "I will make my home with my people and live among them; I will be their God, and they shall be my people."

Do you wish to pray in the temple? Pray in your own heart. But begin by being God's temple, for He will listen to those who invoke Him in His temple.—Saint Augustine
