Pleasing God

Proverbs 16:7 (NIV) When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.

1 Thessalonians 2:4 (NIV) On the contrary, we speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please men but God, who tests our hearts.

Hebrews 11:5 (NIV) By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.

As I grow older, I care less what people think about me and more what God thinks of me. I expect to be with him much longer than with you. —Robert Baker
