Faith: Certainty in what we cannot see

Galatians 5:6 (NIV) For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

Hebrews 11:1 (NIV) Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

1 John 5:4 (NIV) For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

Faith is the "yes" of the heart, a conviction on which one stakes one's life. —Martin Luther
