Proverbs 24:16 (NIV) For though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity.

Psalm 37:23-24 (NIV) 23  If the LORD delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm; 24  though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.

Psalm 73:1-2, 16-17 (NIV) 1 Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. 2  But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold.    16  When I tried to understand all this, it was oppressive to me 17  till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny.

Psalm 94:18-19 (NIV) 18  When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O LORD, supported me. 19  When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.
