John 16:33 (NIV) "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
Help us, oh God, in these times of sorrow and pain. Be with those who have lost loved one to a senseless massacre. Touch the hearts of those who would do such terrible things that they might turn away from violence, bloodshed and hatred. Forgive them in your mercy. This we pray in the name of the Prince of Peace, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
