God has our back

Luke 1:69-72 (NIV) 69  He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David 70  (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago), 71  salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us-- 72  to show mercy to our fathers and to remember his holy covenant.

Acts 18:9-11 (NIV) 9  One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: "Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. 10  For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city." 11  So Paul stayed for a year and a half, teaching them the word of God.

Hebrews 13:6 (TLB) That is why we can say without any doubt or fear, "The Lord is my Helper, and I am not afraid of anything that mere man can do to me."

Happy and strong and brave shall we be—able to endure all things, and to do all things—if we believe that every day, every hour, every moment of our life is in God's hands. —Henry van Dyke in The Upward Path. Christianity Today, Vol. 40, no. 1.
