Redemption through the Blood of Christ

openbible 940x320

Psalm 111:9 (NASB) He has sent redemption to His people; He has ordained His covenant forever; Holy and awesome is His name.

Galatians 4:4-7 (NASB) 4  But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, 5  so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. 6  Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!" 7  Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.

1 Peter 1:18-19 (NASB) 18  knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, 19  but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

If I had the wisdom of Solomon, the patience of John, the meekness of Moses, the strength of Samson, the obedience of Abraham, the compassion of Joseph, the tears of Jeremiah, the poetic skill of David, the prophetic voice of Elijah, the courage of Daniel, the greatness of John the Baptist, the endurance and love of Paul, I would still need redemption through Christ's blood, the forgiveness of sin.   R.
