The Christian Response to Insults

Respond properly to an insult-- Proverbs 12:16 (NET1) A fool’s annoyance is known at once, but the prudent overlooks an insult.

God will bless Christians who are insulted because of their faith-- Luke 6:22 (NET1) “Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you and reject you as evil on account of the Son of Man!"

Do not insult others-- 1 Peter 3:9 (NET1) Do not return evil for evil or insult for insult, but instead bless others because you were called to inherit a blessing.

A sharp word cuts deeper than a weapon.
