JOY IN CHRIST

John 15:9-11 (NIV) 9  "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10  If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. 11  I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

1 Peter 1:8-9 (NIV) 8  Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9  for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Psalm 16:11 (NASB) You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Happiness is caused by things that happen around me, and circumstances will mar it; but joy flows right on through trouble; joy flows on through the dark; joy flows in the night as well as in the day; joy flows all through persecution and opposition. It is an unceasing fountain bubbling up in the heart; a secret spring the world can't see and doesn't know anything about. The Lord gives his people perpetual joy when they walk in obedience to him.
