Good Advice

Leaders should consider the advice of others.

  • Psalm 1:1 (NIV) Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.

God’s advice is best.

  • Psalm 73:24 (NIV) You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory.

Wise people seek advice.

  • Proverbs 1:5 (NIV) Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance.

Advice helps provide success.

  • Proverbs 11:14 (NIV) For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure.

Foolish people do not listen to advice.

  • Proverbs 12:15 (NIV) The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice.

Give advice to those in need.

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:14 (NIV) And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone.
