Reconciliation

2 Corinthians 5:19 (HCSB) In Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed the message of reconciliation to us.

Colossians 1:19-20 (NASB) For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, 20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.

John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

In God alone can man meet man.
George MacDonald (1824-1905)

Never once is God said to be reconciled to man; it is always man who is reconciled to God.
William Barclay (1907-1978)

Reconciliation is not weakness or cowardice. It demands courage, nobility, generosity, sometimes heroism, an overcoming of oneself rather than of one's adversary.
Pope Paul VI (1897-1978)
