Lord of the Storm

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV) But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

Matthew 11:28 (NIV) "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

John 16:33 (NIV)  "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Psalm 107:28-29 (HCSB) 28  Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distress. 29  He stilled the storm to a murmur, and the waves of the sea were hushed.

"We may have faith to believe in God as Lord of the calm--but do we also have faith to believe in Him as Lord of the storm?"  Matt Redman
