WE MUST NOT IMITATE UNBELIEVERS
Psalm 26:5 (TLB) I hate the sinners’ hangouts and refuse to enter them.
WE MUST SHARE THE GOSPEL WITH UNBELIEVERS
John 17:14-19 (TLB) 14 I have given them your commands. And the world hates them because they don’t fit in with it, just as I don’t. 15 I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from Satan’s power. 16 They are not part of this world any more than I am. 17 Make them pure and holy through teaching them your words of truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world, 19 and I consecrate myself to meet their need for growth in truth and holiness.
UNBELIEVERS DO NOT BELONG TO CHRIST
Romans 8:8-9 (TLB) 8 . . . those who are still under the control of their old sinful selves, bent on following their old evil desires, can never please God. 9 But you are not like that. You are controlled by your new nature if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that if anyone doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ living in him, he is not a Christian at all.)
WE SHOULD AVOID SITUATIONS THAT FORCE US TO COMPROMISE OUR BELIEFS
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (TLB) 14 Don’t be teamed with those who do not love the Lord, for what do the people of God have in common with the people of sin? How can light live with darkness? 15 And what harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a Christian be a partner with one who doesn’t believe? 16 And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For you are God’s temple, the home of the living God, and God has said of you, "I will live in them and walk among them, and I will be their God and they shall be my people." 17 That is why the Lord has said, "Leave them; separate yourselves from them; don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you 18 and be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters."
UNBELIEVERS WILL NOT ENTER HEAVEN
1 John 5:11-12 (TLB) And what is it that God has said? That he has given us eternal life and that this life is in his Son. So whoever has God’s Son has life; whoever does not have his Son, does not have life.
