God’s Young People

Love one another

Young people should worship God (1 Kings 18:12) (NIV) 12  I don't know where the Spirit of the LORD may carry you when I leave you. If I go and tell Ahab and he doesn't find you, he will kill me. Yet I your servant have worshiped the LORD since my youth.

God can give hope to young people (Psalm 71:5) (NIV) 5  For you have been my hope, O Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth.

Young people should remember God (Ecclesiastes 12:1) (NLT) 1  Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.”

Young people should be an example to others (1 Timothy 4:12) (NLT) 12  Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

Young people should run from their youthful lust (2 Timothy 2:22) (NLT) 22  Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.

Quote of the Day:

Young people need control and authority; and without it they are unhappy, confused, frustrated, and miserable. This is one of the psychological secrets that Hitler and Mussolini used so effectively in gaining control of the youth of Germany and Italy.
