In the end, we are all accountable.

Weeping Jesus

Romans 14:12 (NIV)   So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

1 Peter 4:5 (NIV) But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 (NIV)  Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole [duty] of man.

Matthew 12:36 (NIV)   But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.

John 5:22, 27 (NIV) 22  Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son . .27  And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.

Acts 17:31 (NIV)   For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead."

My Spirit searches the deep things of the heart. I not only taste the fruit, I test the soundness of the tree. I do not look at the leaves, but examine the roots. I behold not the shape of the tree, but test the heart.  Frances J. Roberts [Draper's Book of Quotations for the Christian World]
