Almighty God, we commit to you the elections here in the Commonwealth of Virginia today. Restrain the candidates and their staffs from all falsehood. Enlighten the minds of those who vote, that they may exercise their choice responsibly in your sight; that the best possible leaders may be given to our Commonwealth, who will promote unity and stability for the state, social justice for the people, liberty for the Church, and wise and generous service to the our people, and bring glory to your name. These things we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
