The Salt of the Earth

Jesus says that His followers are the "salt of the earth".  Are we the "salt of the earth"?  What does it mean to be the "salt of the earth" anyway?  Many people think that it means that Christians are supposed to live in a way to preserve the world--to keep it from rotting away in the face of evil and immorality.  While that may certainly be part of what Jesus is saying, it may surprise you as to what Jesus' initial followers would have thought about this.  Join us for worship this Sunday as we consider what Jesus actually meant by this familiar saying.
