Suffer for doing good

1 Peter 2:20 (NLT2)  Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with you.

One of the "good" things that Peter speaks of here is the spreading of the Gospel--not just those parts that our society will tolerate, but all of it.  We live in a world that is increasingly accepting evil as the norm, and labeling vast portions of God's Word as hate.  But, God is love and so is His Word--manifested in the incarnate form of His Son, Jesus the Christ.  Spread His Word--ALL OF IT, UNFILTERED, AND UNPOLLUTED BY THE WORLD'S STANDARDS--and be sure to spread it with boldness wrapped in gentleness and love. -- Pastor Darvin
