As a young girl, Lorena Garlington accepted Christ, but she never followed him in believer's baptism. Never, that is, until a couple of months before her 100th birthday. She always knew she was supposed to be baptized, but never got around to it. "I've struggled with this so long," Garlington told Gerald Squyes of Huntington Beach Baptist Church, "because I know the Bible says you should be baptized." When she emerged from the water, she said, "This is the greatest day! It's the best thing that's happened to me in years."
Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, "Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
