Forgiveness

Christ the Comforter

Psalm 65:3 (NLT) Though we are overwhelmed by our sins, you forgive them all.

Psalm 86:5 (NLT) O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.

Matthew 6:14-15 (NLT) 14  “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. 15  But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Colossians 3:13 (NLT) Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

1 John 1:9 (NLT) But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

“If you have truly repented—which means you have experienced godly sorrow and a subsequent detour from the sin—bathe yourself in the river of God’s forgiveness.”  Beth Moore, Jesus: 90 Days with the One and Only (2007) [101 Quotable Christians]
