Not much progress.

From what we can learn from the Scriptures, we believe that the seraphim and cherubim in Heaven are still faithfully fulfilling their purpose in serving God by worshipping Him day and night.   Yet, since the Fall of Humanity, the vast portion of humans seem to always bow down to someone or something else.  Today, they bow, not to God, but to smart phones (as just one of a million worldly examples).  Hands are no longer clasp in prayer.  Rather, one holds the object of their worship, while a finger of the other hand strokes their idol with loving adoration.  And so, it appears that Man has not progressed much over the thousands upon thousands of years since He came into existence through the breath of God.  Man still sulks in his cave, all alone with his brilliant intelligence--with all of his amazing technology to keep him company.  He is either silent, or if he opens his mouth at all, it is to boast and threaten and curse; or it's nervous, ill-considered laughter, or to briefly utter songs without joy and words without meaning.
