Activity

Ecclesiastes 2:11 (HCSB)  When I considered all that I had accomplished and what I had labored to achieve, I found everything to be futile and a pursuit of the wind. There was nothing to be gained under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 11:5 (NET1) Just as you do not know the path[11] of the wind, or how the bones form in the womb of a pregnant woman, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.

John 5:17 (HCSB) But Jesus responded to them, “My Father is still working, and I am working also.”

Activity itself proves nothing: the ant is praised, the mosquito swatted. Apart from God every activity is merely a passing whiff of insignificance.
Alfred North Whitehead (1861-1947)
