Peace through Jesus Christ

WICKED PEOPLE WILL NOT KNOW PEACE:

Isaiah 48:22 (NLT)  “But there is no peace for the wicked,” says the LORD.

WE CAN HAVE PEACE WITH GOD:

Isaiah 53:5 (NLT) But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.

MAKE PEACE WITH OTHERS QUICKLY:

Matthew 5:23-24 (NLT) 23  “So if you are presenting a sacrifice at the altar in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, 24  leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God.

THE PEACE JESUS GIVES IS DIFFERENT THAN THE WORLD’S PEACE:

John 14:27 (NLT)  “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"He has great tranquility and peace of heart who does not regard praise or blame, and he will soon be at peace and content who has a good conscience. You are not the better because you are praised, or the worse because you are blamed, for as you are, you are, and whatever is said of you, you are no better than Almighty God, the Searcher of men's hearts, will testify that you are."       Thomas à Kempis in The Imitation of Christ
