God’s Blessings

openbible 940x320

God blesses us when we seek Him. Matthew 6:33 (NIV) 33  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

God requires us to bless our enemies. Luke 6:27-28 (NIV) 27  "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28  bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

We are blessed by God’s adoption of us. Ephesians 1:3-5 (NIV) 3  Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4  For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5  he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.

God’s perfect law (the Bible) brings us blessing. James 1:25 (NIV) 25  But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it--he will be blessed in what he does.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

“God particularly pours out his blessings upon those who know how much they need him.” Robert Harold Schuller (1926- ) Draper's Book of Quotations for the Christian World.
