Proverbs 3:24-26 (CEB) 24  If you lie down, you won't be terrified. When you lie down, your sleep will be pleasant. 25  Don't fear sudden terror or the ruin that comes to the wicked. 26  The LORD will be your confidence; he will guard your feet from being snared.

Deuteronomy 33:12 (TLB) 12  “He is beloved of God And lives in safety beside him. God surrounds him with his loving care, And preserves him from every harm.”

Isaiah 43:1-2 (TLB) 1  But now the Lord who created you, O Israel, says, "Don’t be afraid, for I have ransomed you; I have called you by name; you are mine. 2  When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you.

Happy and strong and brave shall we be—able to endure all things, and to do all things—if we believe that every day, every hour, every moment of our life is in God's hands.—Henry van Dyke in The Upward Path. Christianity Today, Vol. 40, no. 1. Today's Best Illustrations – Volumes 1-4.
